Self-consultation terminals implemented at airports

Following a successful trial, London City Airport (LCY) and British Airways are
extending automatic baggage tagging facilities for passengers to check in via self-
check-in terminals.

Passengers can use these terminals located in the main concourse area to print their own
baggage tags, place them on their luggage and take them to the baggage claim area.
The service is designed to save passengers time as they travel through the airport,
saving time is a priority for passengers, especially those traveling on business.
Tokyo Narita Airport also operates 116 Star Alliance Self-Service Kiosks, which
include a number of services. Initial statistics show that most travelers are already
making use of the new self-service option. 2,500 km away, Malaysia Airlines has made
self-check-in mandatory for economy class passengers flying from Kuala Lumpur
International Airport.

The implementation of self-service baggage drop-off terminals means passengers get a
faster and more convenient check-in experience.
